Soul Musings Update

Over the last couple of days I have managed to work on my book...Soul Musings. I am constantly delighted by the connections and deeper understanding I gain through writing.

This evening I wrote the Introduction and strived to put into words what Soul Musings are to me. I also attempted to explain that this endeavor is going to be eclectic. It will draw from a wide range of cultures, belief systems, literature and philosophies. Woven in with that will be my own interpretation and reflections on different concepts, as well as my own personal ideas and ways of looking at life and our journey here on earth. Sometimes the ideas are simply something that presented themselves to me and well...they just seemed to make sense....For example one such theory/thought I call Snowflake Philosophy...

I am enjoying creating 52 different essays or inspirational writings....each one is like a portrait of life. It is coming along quite well, but time is always the writers enemy. I hope when I share it with you that you will enjoy the journey through the year and weave the Soul Musings into your life in ways that help you make deeper connections to self.

Spring Break on a Shoestring Part Two see I haven't forgotten about blogging more about Spring Break....It's the best day EVER....Thursday....Ladies day at the casino....BUT first...the races....

We went to Oaklawn was like two dollars to get in and there were ten races....for a bit of fun and sport....I bet a couple bucks on each race....Three of the horse I won a like 13 dollars and something ten races at two bucks....minus the 13 I won=7 dollars for a WHOLE afternoon of entertainment. We grabbed a quick hotdog and drink at the tracks to get us through until out buffet at the casino!! So that was another icecream 3.

But least you think I actually spent a whole 17 dollars....THINK AGAIN.....cause at the racetrack we got a coupon for ten bucks at the casino. After the last race we headed into the casino...stood in line for like ten minutes....and walked away with our Oaklawn casino pass card AND TEN dollars CASH....headed to the buffet line...(it was Ladies Night) the buffet was 7.77 and margaritas and daiquirs were .77 cents....YES 7s were lucky!! ....So let's see

Racetrack Total =19 dollars but we got a ten dollar coupon.
Casino Total= 11.62-our ten dollars cash=1.62
Spent a few bucks on the quarter slot machines and headed back to the hotel...So a WHOLE DAY AND NIGHT of FUN....for around 25 dollars.....YOU GOTTA LOVE FREE!!!
