Enjoying the Season

Image
I'm not going to lie....we have packed A LOT into this holiday season and we are still going strong. I'm getting a little tired and the calm week between Christmas and New Years will be much enjoyed. However, I wouldn't change it. One of the things I've always said is that what I enjoy about the holiday season is doing fun things with family and friends. Making great memories!

How about an impromptu photo shoot! Multiple happy hours were a bit hectic at times but all in all made December feel like Christmas and created some fun memories. MERRY CHRISTMAS....by the time I blog here again at Ginger's Journey it will be after Christmas! Take care, enjoy, and make memories!

Christmas Fun

Christmas fun!  Evan and Kelsey (and I) worked on putting together a Christmas puzzle!  We also played Christmas Memory which is really fun because there are also naughty and nice cards!  Kelsey decided she wanted to do a Christmas craft and so I gave her an elf bell ornament kit but she didn't get too far with it. Tiny piece!  Last the elves gave us a Home Alone collection so we are enjoying watching those too!

Celebrate Me 2015

Celebrate is my word for 2014 and I certainly did a lot of it!  Still am...there's still a few weeks left of 2014.  Years back myself and some members of a forum I belong to came up with this idea to celebrate ourselves!  We deserve it after all. Usually as moms, wives, sisters, and daughters we take care of others but we forget to take care of ourselves.

Celebrate Me is a day each month to do something YOU really want to do or perhaps buy yourself a small trinket. It can be something as simple as a warm scented bubble bath, taking yourself to the movies, getting a pedicure, or any number of little pampering things. Celebrate Me is your birthdate each month so for example I was born on the 15 of October and that makes the 15th of every month my Celebrate Me day! I have to admit with all the 2014 celebrating (I retired after all) that I let this little tradition go to the way side. So I'm bringing it back in 2015.
